The Advocates is a boutique video production company that specializes in the strategy and production of online video for digital PR. Founded in 2008, they are known for their popular WOMEN x WOMEN initiative and have a roster of clients that includes Roots, Harry Rosen and MEXX.

The Advocates focuses on doing digital video that compliments or even leads PR efforts. In addition to hands-on video production skills, Co-Founders Alice Keith and Angela Young both have a background of world-class agency and brand digital marketing experience. Their passion for marketing translates into skillful and often unexpected manifestations of communication goals in video. They understand how to create videos that are engaging, cinematically beautiful and primed to generate social media buzz.

Co-Founders

Alice is a natural marketing strategist who worked for research analytics companies Youthography, MINA and Brandintel, as well for Sympatico and Microsoft in their marketing departments, before graduating from university. After starting her career in high-tech project management at Affinity Systems, she moved into the advertising industry (at one of the NYC ad agencies often featured in Mad Men) as a Digital Producer. With her finger firmly on the pulse of digital marketing, she is passionate about The Advocates forward-thinking service offering, and the satisfaction of providing clients with amazing content and value.

Angela Young is an elusive blend of multi-talented creative, marketing instigator, and cultural aficionado. Graduating with a BFA in Contemporary Media, she went on to work as the in-house Marketing & Communications Director for top-tier lifestyle brands, Vespa and Fred Perry. While there, she gained hands-on advertising design experience as well as managed the roll-out for subversive and highly successful campaigns.
