an unexpected toughness

obsession obsession obsession. discovered litter while staying up late and checking out fashion blogs.

LITTER… a line of jewelry created by a San Francisco based sister duo Mackenzie Burdick and Rachael Mann has quickly become a trend that I’ve spotted in the streets of Toronto. And I love it.
These girls make shoe chains, rings, headpieces and all sorts of other unexpected things from nuts & bolts you can find at your local hardware store. These industrial, heavy metal pieces of handy work are not only aesthetically pleasing but are easily transformed into a feminine fashion accessory.
Sadly enough I have to say that I have only one man friend who has been rocking chains and harnesses like no one’s business… Dwayne that’s a shout out to you :)
Check them out on Littersf.com and turn anything old from your closet into something one-of-a-kind. Personally I will be looking into making or finding something thick and heavy for my shoulder… with those cascading pearls. ah. xo
Really Quick & Something to Note.
Givenchy Fall 2009 collection…. see this Middle Eastern influence on the catwalks around the world.
Aside from fiercely tailored coats and suits, Tisci’s hoods were veiled and draped with gold embroidery and delicate hardware. Reminiscent of some sort of science-fantasy princess.

that’s all for now :)

… when Kate used to roll up to our Advocates (plan to take over the world) meetings on her bicycle. Good show.

There’s always fall fashion to get you through. It’s when winter hits and all semblance of fashion gets thrown out the window in lieu of practicality and warmth. Can’t wait. Woot.
